Master of Science (MSc)
The master’s programme in Early Childhood Education is the first and only one of its kind in Austria. It combines a significant amount of online teaching with face-to-face blocks, allowing students to balance their studies with work commitments. The program focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of child development and educational equality, exploring how young children's learning can be structured and supported. Graduates will be prepared for diverse career paths in early childhood education.

The program is organized into four semesters, combining online teaching with block sessions of face-to-face instruction. This flexible structure allows students to balance their studies with work commitments or remote living.
Graduates develop competencies in educational support for young children, management of early childhood institutions, and interdisciplinary family counseling. They gain skills essential for evaluating educational processes and conducting academic research.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
