Master of Arts (MA)
The program investigates the history and culture of ancient societies, focusing on archaeological and textual evidence. Students will study the intersections of ancient and modern worlds through various historical research methods. Topics include religious practices, historical writing, and artifacts from ancient cultures.
The program is organized into four semesters, where students deepen their knowledge gained from their bachelor's degree. A thesis is required in the final semester, and internships may be integrated as part of the curriculum.
Graduates will develop advanced research skills and a comprehensive understanding of historical contexts. They will be capable of critically analyzing historical texts and artifacts and will have practical experience in the field of cultural studies.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
