Der Bachelorstudiengang Umweltsystemwissenschaften – Geographie untersucht den Einfluss menschlicher Aktivität auf die Umwelt. Studierende lernen, geografische Informationssysteme anzuwenden und umweltrelevante Fragestellungen zu analysieren.
In this program, you study the relationship between natural and human-made environments, exploring themes such as environmental systems, climate change, and sustainability. The curriculum integrates geography with system sciences, emphasizing both theoretical understanding and practical application.
The degree program is organized over six semesters, culminating in a Bachelor’s thesis. Students engage in various phases of learning, including lectures, practical exercises, and possibly internships, designed to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts.
Graduates gain interdisciplinary competencies in geography, environmental systems, data analysis, and research methodologies. They develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills relevant to environmental challenges and human-environment interactions.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
