Der Bachelorstudiengang Klassische Philologie fördert das Verständnis der griechischen und lateinischen Kultur durch die Analyse ihrer Literatur und Geschichte. Studierende werden in den klassischen Sprachen geschult und lernen die Relevanz antiker Texte für moderne Gesellschaften kennen.
In the Bachelor's program in Classical Philology, you study Latin and Greek languages, exploring various texts and authors. The focus includes literary, historical, and sociocultural contexts, encouraging a deep understanding of classical literature and its relevance.
The program is organized over 6 semesters, beginning with foundational courses in both languages. By the third semester, students choose a language focus and can combine it with elective subjects, allowing for a tailored educational experience.
Graduates develop a strong competency in linguistic analysis, literary interpretation, and cultural understanding. They gain skills in critical thinking, project management, and effective communication within various contexts.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
