In this program, you study various aspects of archaeology, focusing on the material remains of past human activities. Key themes include Classical and Provincial Roman Archaeology, early high cultures, and historical archaeology, offering a comprehensive understanding of archaeology's role in understanding human history.
The Bachelor program lasts for six semesters and combines theoretical learning with hands-on practical experiences, including fieldwork and excavation participation, both domestically and abroad. Students engage in various internships and projects, concluding with a Bachelor thesis in the final semester.
Graduates develop a wide range of competencies, including analytical skills, practical excavation techniques, and a solid understanding of historical contexts. They are equipped to conduct research and contribute to cultural heritage projects effectively.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
