Der Bachelorstudiengang Alte Geschichte und Altertumskunde vermittelt umfassende Kenntnisse über die Kulturen und Gesellschaften der Antike. Studierende lernen die historischen, politischen und sozialen Kontexte, die das antike Leben prägten, zu verstehen. Der Studiengang fördert kritisches Denken und analytische Fähigkeiten durch die Auseinandersetzung mit historischen Quellen und deren Interpretation.
Im Bachelorstudium Alte Geschichte und Altertumskunde beschäftigst du dich mit den vielseitigen Aspekten der antiken Welt. Zu den Themen gehören Gesellschaft, Kultur, Politik, Religion sowie Wirtschaft, Technik und Wissenschaft der römischen und griechischen Antike.
Das Studium ist auf 6 Semester angelegt und umfasst eine breite Einführung in das historische Arbeiten. Die Studierenden erhalten spezielle Einführungen in Grundlagendisziplinen wie Epigraphik und Numismatik.
Absolvent:innen des Bachelorprogramms erwerben umfassende Kenntnisse über die Antike und entwickeln Fähigkeiten im kritischen Denken und in der Analyse historischer Quellen. Sie sind somit gut vorbereitet für den Umgang mit komplexen historischen Fragestellungen.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
