The Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering is focused on mechanical technologies, including design of efficient vehicles, production plants, and sustainable energy systems. In this master's degree program, you will study advanced topics in mechanical engineering, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material strengths. You will also explore areas such as sustainable materials, energy technology, and mechatronic systems, using state-of-the-art simulation and computer-aided development methods.
The program is organized over four semesters, where students engage in both foundational coursework and specialized electives. In the final semester, students complete a master's thesis, often in collaboration with industry partners, allowing for practical application of the learned concepts.
Graduates will gain a robust set of competencies in mechanical design, numerical methods, and engineering processes. They will also develop problem-solving skills applicable in various engineering fields, preparing them for leadership roles in research and development.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
