The Master's Programme in Physics offers a comprehensive physical-mathematical education that covers various fields, from nanomaterials to climate physics. In the Master's Degree Programme in Physics, students explore fundamental physical laws that apply to all matter, ranging from nanomaterials to Earth's climate systems and cosmic structures. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including statistical physics, advanced quantum mechanics, and general relativity, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as astrophysics and climate physics.
The program spans 4 semesters and comprises compulsory modules and the option to specialize in five subject areas. Students engage in practical exercises and laboratory work, culminating in a master’s thesis to deepen their understanding of current research topics.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
