Das Diplomstudium Humanmedizin bereitet die Studierenden auf den zukünftigen Beruf als Ärztin oder Arzt für alle Fachrichtungen vor. Die Ausbildung erfolgt in einem integrativen, themenzentrierten und patientenorientierten Ansatz. Besondere humanwissenschaftliche Aspekte werden berücksichtigt, um die Studierenden in ihrer professionellen Haltung und ihrem medizinischen Handeln zu unterstützen. Ziel ist es, die besten Voraussetzungen für den Einstieg in das Berufsleben und die postgraduale Ausbildung in allen ärztlichen Fachbereichen zu schaffen.
Im Programm werden Themen wie Anatomie, Physiologie und Pathologie behandelt, ergänzt durch praktische klinische Übungen. Die Studierenden lernen die Grundlagen der medizinischen Forschung und klinischen Entscheidungsfindung.
Das Studium ist in verschiedene Phasen unterteilt, abwechselnd theoretische und praktische Elemente. Am Ende des Studiums erfolgt eine umfangreiche praktische Ausbildung und die Vorbereitung auf das Staatsexamen.
Die Graduierenden erwerben umfassende medizinische Kenntnisse, klinische Fertigkeiten und soziale Kompetenzen. Sie sind darauf vorbereitet, in verschiedenen gesundheitsbezogenen Bereichen zu agieren und haben die Fähigkeit, medizinische Probleme zu analysieren und zu lösen.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
