The Stage Design program focuses on the creative visual interpretation of concepts for theatre, music theatre, dance, and film. Students learn to transform ideas into tangible designs through practical experience and collaborative projects. It encourages interdisciplinary exploration and innovation in performance art, ultimately setting the foundation for individual artistic development and creativity.
The program encompasses a range of subjects including visual presentation, costume and set design, and performance analysis. It encourages students to explore various forms of artistic expression. Topics also include collaboration in interdisciplinary projects across theatre and dance disciplines.
The program is structured over eight semesters and includes a mixture of practical workshops, theoretical seminars, and artistic projects. Students undertake comprehensive assessments and present their portfolios. Additionally, they complete a thesis project that demonstrates their mastery of stage design concepts.
Graduates gain competencies in visual arts, the ability to interpret and design performance spaces, and skills in collaborative interdisciplinary work. They develop a keen understanding of artistic presentation, along with project management capabilities in the arts arena.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
