The Master's Programme in Opera Performance prepares students for a successful career in today's opera business through practical training in role studies, ensemble rehearsals, and public performances. Participants receive scenic and musical lessons and have the opportunity to engage in complete opera performances at the 'Haus für Musik und Musiktheater'. This degree is ideal for those looking to develop artistically and participate in various opera companies.
The Master's Programme in Opera Performance encompasses a comprehensive range of vocal and theatrical training, focusing on stage presence, character development, and musical interpretation. Students engage in intensive coaching, ensemble rehearsals, and scenic studies to prepare them for the opera industry’s demands.
The program is organized over four semesters, comprising 120 ECTS credits, with a strong emphasis on practical experience. Students participate in public performances and complete a thesis project based on their artistic journey and learning.
Graduates of the program gain advanced skills in vocal performance, dramatic characterization, and ensemble collaboration. They develop a deep understanding of opera repertoire and stagecraft, positioning them for professional careers in music theatre.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
