Der Masterstudiengang Komposition - Musiktheater an der KUG bietet eine vertiefte Ausbildung in zeitgenössischer Komposition und künstlerischer Praxis. Es wird nicht nur die technische Fertigkeit in der Komposition geschult, sondern auch eine umfassende Auseinandersetzung mit musikhistorischen Themen und kulturellen Aspekten gefördert. Studierende haben die Möglichkeit, in verschiedenen Projekten zu arbeiten, die ihre Kreativität und ihren individuelle Stil zum Ausdruck bringen. Absolventen können in verschiedenen Bereichen, wie z.B. im Theater oder in der Filmkomposition, tätig werden.
Studierende beschäftigen sich mit verschiedenen Aspekten der Komposition und Musiktheorie, sowie deren Anwendung in der künstlerischen Praxis. Der Fokus liegt auf der Entwicklung eines eigenen künstlerischen Stils und der Analyse von Musik. Themen wie Aufführungspraxis und Interpretation sind ebenfalls Teil des Curriculums.
Der Studienverlauf umfasst mehrere Semester, in denen sowohl theoretische als auch praktische Module angeboten werden. Ein Teil des Studiums ist der Fokus auf individuelle Stücke und Projekte, inklusive einer abschließenden Thesis oder künstlerischen Arbeit. Praktische Erfahrungen werden durch Auftritte und Workshops ergänzt.
Absolventen*innen erwerben Fähigkeiten in der Komposition, der Analyse musikalischer Werke und in der Vermittlung von musikalischen Inhalten. Sie sind in der Lage, eigenständig kreative Projekte zu entwickeln und zu realisieren, und verfügen über ein tiefes Verständnis der musikwissenschaftlichen Grundlagen.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
