In this program, students gain comprehensive knowledge of the biomedical analytical process—from sample collection through laboratory diagnostics to evaluation and quality assurance. Utilizing state-of-the-art analytical methods, graduates contribute to early disease detection and support therapy decisions. The curriculum combines theoretical learning with practical lab experience, preparing students for various roles in healthcare and research.
The program covers topics such as clinical laboratory analysis, microbiological diagnostics, and pathology, focusing on the techniques used in biomedical diagnostics. Emphasis is placed on practical experiences and internships to ensure readiness for professional practice.
The program is structured into six semesters combining lectures, practical lab sessions, and internships. Students will engage in hands-on learning experiences and research projects, culminating in a final thesis on a relevant topic within the field.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
