Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
The Diploma Programme in Veterinary Medicine provides comprehensive training in all aspects of veterinary science. Students will engage in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for veterinary practice. The program covers various topics including animal anatomy, pathology, and preventive medicine. Graduates are equipped to work in diverse roles in veterinary medicine, from clinical practice to research and public health.
Students will delve into animal health, diseases, and treatment methodologies. They will also study ethics and legal aspects of veterinary practice, preparing them for the challenges of the profession.
The program is organized over ten semesters, integrating lectures, practicals, and clinical rotations. It culminates in a thesis project that allows students to explore a specific area of interest.
Graduates gain advanced analytical skills, clinical reasoning, and hands-on experience in veterinary practice. They are prepared to handle complex cases and communicate effectively with clients.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
