Bachelor of Science (BSc)
The Bachelor’s Programme in Biomedicine and Biotechnology aims to familiarize students with the fundamentals of natural sciences and medical fields, using a problem-focused approach. Students engage with molecular methods and are involved in research projects from the first semester onward. The program encourages interdisciplinary work, preparing students for diverse careers.
Students study topics including molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology, focusing on their applications in veterinary and human health. The program includes hands-on laboratory training to complement theoretical knowledge.
The program is structured over six semesters, concluding with a final thesis based on independent research. Students also complete internships to gain practical experience.
Graduates acquire competencies in research methodologies, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills relevant in biomedicine and biotechnology.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
