Bachelor of Science (BSc)
The Bachelor program in Biomedicine and Biotechnology offers scientific and practical training for scientific activities in the fields of medical and veterinary basic research as well as applied research. Students gain essential knowledge in medical and natural sciences to develop new therapeutic approaches.
Students will study the intersection of biology and medicine, focusing on molecular and cellular processes. Topics include genetics, bioprocess engineering, and pharmaceuticals, among others.
The program is organized into six semesters, with alternating theory and practical phases. Students are required to complete internships and a bachelor's thesis as part of their training.
Graduates will gain competencies in analytical thinking, laboratory techniques, and problem-solving in the fields of biomedicine and biotechnology. They will also develop skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
