Im Bachelorstudium Byzantinistik und Neogräzistik erwerben die Studierenden Kenntnisse über die byzantinische und griechische Kultur vom Ausgang der Antike bis zur Gegenwart. Das Studium inkludiert den Erwerb von Sprachkompetenz im byzantinischen Griechisch und im Neugriechischen, wodurch die Studierenden raum- und epochenübergreifende Kenntnisse gewinnen. Absolventen haben gute Berufschancen im Bildungs- und Kulturvermittlungsbereich sowie in der Kommunikations- und Tourismusbranche.
Studierende befassen sich mit der Geschichte, Sprache, Literatur und Lebenswelt des byzantinischen Reiches und der neuzeitlichen griechischen Kultur. Besonderer Fokus liegt auf der Sprache und deren Entwicklung über die Jahrhunderte.
Das Studium ist in eine Studieneingangs- und Orientierungsphase sowie in verschiedene fachliche Vertiefungen gegliedert. Die Studierenden müssen eine Bachelorarbeit verfassen, die im Rahmen eines Seminars entsteht.
Die Absolventen erwerben Fähigkeiten im kritischen Denken und in der Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Methoden. Sie sind in der Lage, die griechische Kultur reflektiert zu verstehen und praktisch im Beruf einzusetzen.

Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation

For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
