Das Bachelorstudium Ägyptologie an der Universität Wien zielt darauf ab, eine Kultur in all ihren Teilbereichen zu erfassen und zu einem ganzheitlichen Bild zu verbinden. Die Studierenden lernen Methoden und Theorien der wichtigsten Teilgebiete wie Archäologie, Geschichte und Kunst kennen und erwerben praktische Fähigkeiten in der Feldarchäologie. Nach dem Abschluss können Absolventen in verschiedenen Bereichen von Lehre bis Kulturmanagement arbeiten.
Das Studium umfasst die Auseinandersetzung mit historischen und kulturellen Aspekten der Ägyptologie, einschließlich Sprache, Schrift und Religion. Die Studierenden erforschen verschiedene kulturelle Ausdrucksformen und deren Zusammenhänge.
Das Programm ist in eine Einstiegs- und Orientierungsphase gegliedert und umfasst Lehrveranstaltungen in verschiedenen Teilgebieten. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der praktischen Anwendung des erworbenen Wissens in Form einer Bachelorarbeit und der Wahlmodule.
Absolventen erlangen umfangreiche Fachkenntnisse in der Ägyptologie sowie analytische und forschungsbasierte Fähigkeiten. Sie sind qualifiziert für verschiedene Berufsfelder in Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
