The Master of Education in Russian builds on the foundational knowledge gained in the Bachelor's program, promoting advanced skills required for teaching Russian. It emphasizes in-depth study of Russian linguistics and pedagogy. The program also includes practical teaching experiences that enhance career readiness for teaching in Austrian schools. Graduates will be equipped to handle diverse classroom environments.
In the Russian teaching program, students learn the Russian language while exploring Russian literature, culture, and the history of the language. The curriculum emphasizes various teaching methods in the didactics of Russian to prepare graduates for effective instruction.
The program is organized over eight semesters for the Bachelor's degree and four semesters for the Master's degree, incorporating multiple internships at schools to enhance practical teaching skills. Students will also engage in a thesis project during their studies.
Graduates gain comprehensive competencies in the Russian language, cultural understanding, and effective teaching strategies. They develop inter-cultural competences essential for teaching in diverse environments.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
