Bachelor of Education (BEd)
The Master program in Musikerziehung builds on the foundations laid in the Bachelor degree, allowing for deeper exploration of pedagogical methods and advanced music instruction. Graduates are equipped to teach music to children and youth, integrating digital media and modern teaching techniques into their curriculum.
In the Music Education program, students engage in a wide range of courses involving active music-making, such as singing, piano, instruments, choir, and band practice. The curriculum also includes essential theoretical foundations in music pedagogy, didactics, music history, acoustics, and composition techniques, providing a comprehensive view of music education.
The program is structured over 8 semesters for the Bachelor's degree and 4 semesters for the Master's degree, encompassing practical activities and theoretical studies. Students receive individual instruction from highly qualified educators on their chosen instruments and engage in practical teaching concepts and methods throughout their studies.
Graduates of the program acquire competencies in music pedagogy, instrumental performance, and music theory. They develop skills in teaching music to children and adolescents, as well as understanding and applying various teaching methods and concepts in music education.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
