Master of Education (MEd)
The Master program in Bildnerische Erziehung builds upon the foundations laid in the bachelor's phase, offering advanced studies in art education with a focus on research and practical application. Students participate in intensive workshops and projects that leverage their previous learning and prepare them for leadership roles in art education.
The curriculum includes deep dives into advanced theories of art education, research methodologies, and practical teaching strategies aimed at effective engagement with students. It also emphasizes community involvement and cultural education.
The program is organized into semesters with a focus on dual tracks: one on educational theory and another on practical engagement through projects and internships. A thesis is required in the final semester.
Graduates of the Master program will be equipped with in-depth knowledge of art education, strengthened by research skills and the ability to engage critically and creatively with educational practices. They will be prepared to assume influential roles in their field.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
