The Master's program in Political Science at the University of Salzburg is designed to equip students with highly specialized knowledge and methodological skills. With a focus on individual interests, the program allows students to select courses from three thematic areas: Comparative Politics, Multilevel Politics, and International Relations. Graduates will gain the ability to critically analyze political issues and develop innovative research questions relevant to today's complex world.
In the Master’s program in Political Science, students engage with topics such as Comparative Politics, Political Theory, and the socio-ecological implications of politics. The curriculum emphasizes advanced methodologies and practical applications in political research.
The program is organized into thematic areas with a compulsory Professional Skills module that allows students to select courses based on their interests. It culminates in a Master’s thesis, which is now evaluated for 24 ECTS points.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
