Master of Religious Education – University (M.Rel.Ed.Univ.)
The Master's program in Catholic Religious Education deepens scientific abilities for the reflection of faith and religion, including world religions and general religious questions. Graduates are prepared to perform competently and independently in leading roles within relevant professional fields.
The program covers topics in religious education methodologies, the role of religion in society, and the interaction between religious and cultural studies. It prepares students to engage critically with religious issues.
The curriculum is structured across four semesters, culminating in a thesis project. Internships and practical experiences are integrated into the program to enhance applied skills.
Graduates gain competencies in educational theory, religious pedagogy, and intercultural communication, enabling them to effectively teach and engage with diverse communities.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
