The Copernicus Master in Digital Earth is a research-driven Erasmus Mundus Master of Science program designed to prepare students for a PhD and to provide them with a broad range of academic analysis and science-based methods. Emphasizing spatial sciences, geovisualisation, and GeoAI, the program adopts a 'Digital Earth' perspective. Blended learning methods facilitate critical thinking, language skills, and intercultural competencies, while core areas of Earth observation and Digital Earth are explored in depth.
Students study a variety of topics focused on geoinformatics, data analytics, and Earth observation techniques. The program includes practical applications in spatial sciences and interdisciplinary studies related to digital earth concepts.
The program is organized into four semesters, including compulsory internships and a thesis. The first year is spent at the University of Salzburg, with specialization tracks in the second year offered at partner universities.
Graduates will have strong competencies in project management, spatial data analysis, and geoinformatics services. They will be equipped to work in both public and private sectors, emphasizing decision-making support and technical expertise.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
