The Chemistry and Physics of Materials program explores the properties and behaviors of different materials at the molecular level. The Chemistry and Physics of Materials program focuses on the production, characterization, and knowledge-based development of functional materials derived from both laboratory and natural sources. Key topics include the chemical, physical, and often biological factors that determine a material's properties, stability, and environmental compatibility, with an emphasis on sustainability and material processing issues.
This master's program is organized over three semesters and involves a blend of theoretical learning and practical laboratory work. Students engage in research-led exercises, culminating in a thesis that integrates their learning and research experiences.
Graduates will develop a strong interdisciplinary skill set that prepares them for various professional roles. This includes competencies in material science, sustainability strategies, and an understanding of biological compatibility and material lifecycle.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
