Bachelor of Education (BEd)
The Psychology and Philosophy program integrates various disciplines from both fields, focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of psychology and philosophy. Students will explore fundamental concepts and how to apply them in educational settings. The program prepares students for careers that require critical thinking and the ability to analyze human behavior and society.
Students will study key psychological theories and philosophical ideas, engage in practical teaching methodologies, and learn how to implement these concepts in a classroom setting. Special emphasis is placed on understanding human behavior and ethical considerations in education.
The program is structured over eight semesters, incorporating lectures, seminars, and practical teaching experiences. Students also engage in projects that link psychological and philosophical theories to real-world educational contexts. A thesis is required in the final semester.
Graduates will gain competencies in critical thinking, effective communication, and the application of psychological and philosophical concepts in educational practices. They will be prepared to tackle complex questions related to human behavior and ethics.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
