Bachelor of Education (BEd) / Master of Education (MEd)
The Bachelor program in Musikerziehung offers a wide range of courses focused on active music-making, including vocal training, piano, and instrumentals. Additionally, students will learn theoretical foundations in music education, pedagogy, and history. Individual instruction from skilled educators enables artistic and pedagogical growth.
In the Music Education program, students engage in various activities, including vocal training, instrument learning, choir work, and band practice, while also acquiring theoretical knowledge in music pedagogy, methodology, music history, and acoustics. This well-rounded approach helps students develop both artistic and educational skills.
The program is structured over eight semesters for the Bachelor's degree (240 ECTS) and four semesters for the Master's degree (120 ECTS). Students receive individual instruction from experienced educators on their chosen instruments and participate in practical teaching experiences.
Graduates will gain competencies in musical performance, pedagogy, and music theory. They will develop effective teaching methodologies and be well-prepared for musical instruction in diverse educational settings.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
