The Master's in Applied Cultural Analysis examines cultural dynamics and promotes understanding across contexts and societies. Students engage in critical analysis relevant to contemporary cultural challenges.
In the Master program of Angewandte Kulturwissenschaft und Transkulturelle Studien, students delve into contemporary cultural studies, engaging critically with cultural phenomena and developing interdisciplinary methodologies. The coursework emphasizes reading, reflection, writing, and discussions, supplemented by practical projects exploring diverse cultural contexts.
The program spans four semesters, totaling 120 ECTS credits. It combines theoretical coursework with practical experiences, including research projects and internships in cultural institutions, allowing students to apply their learned skills in real-world contexts.
Graduates acquire strong analytical and creative skills to understand and mediate between different cultures. They develop competencies in cultural theory, cultural analysis, and culture management, preparing them for various professional roles in cultural and educational sectors.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
