The Bachelor in Information and Communications Engineering merges IT with business principles, preparing students for a dynamic career in technology and business. This program focuses on developing innovative solutions to contemporary challenges in automation and digitalization.
In the Bachelor’s programme in Information and Communications Engineering, you study core topics such as electrical engineering, informatics, software development, and control systems. The focus is on the application of these disciplines to develop innovative information technologies and communication systems, covering aspects from data processing in smart homes to the control of autonomous systems.
The program is organized into required courses, guided electives, and open electives, totaling 180 ECTS credits. It includes an introductory phase, guided projects, and a Bachelor's thesis, allowing students to engage both theoretically and practically throughout their studies across typically six semesters.
Graduates acquire a blend of technical expertise in electrical engineering and business skills, enabling them to act as intermediaries in technology ventures. The program fosters innovative thinking and the necessary soft skills for project management and teamwork, preparing students for a versatile role in IT and engineering sectors.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
