Master of Science (MSc)
The Master's Degree Programme in Software Engineering focuses on building reliable software systems on an industrial scale. Students enhance their technical and scientific knowledge, gaining skills for the specification, implementation, and operation of next-generation software systems. Graduates can pursue careers as IT architects, product managers, and software quality managers, among others, or continue into doctoral studies.
Students study methods and practices for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and operation of complex IT systems. The program also covers advanced topics in software security, data engineering, and software engineering methodologies.
The program consists of four semesters, culminating in a Master's thesis. It includes both coursework and practical project work to ensure hands-on experience in software engineering.
Graduates gain skills in software development, project management, and the ability to critically analyze and implement software solutions. They are equipped to work in interdisciplinary teams and take on leadership roles in technology-driven environments.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
