Master of Science (MSc)
The Master’s Programme in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation focuses on the core areas of accounting, offering students the ability to specialize in controlling, international billing, taxation, and auditing. It provides in-depth knowledge and skills in areas of finance and organizational contexts. Graduates are equipped to confront complex problems and venture into research-oriented and practical applications, preparing them for diverse roles in corporate finance and auditing.
Students engage with topics such as financial reporting, auditing, controlling, and taxation while acquiring problem-solving skills through a structured curriculum. There is also an opportunity for international exposure through partner universities and practical experiences with local companies.
The program is organized over four semesters, culminating in a Master's thesis. Each semester consists of mandatory and elective courses, which encourage both theoretical knowledge and practical application, supplemented by internship opportunities.
Graduates possess specialized skills in accounting, auditing, and taxation, emphasizing analytical and problem-solving abilities. They can independently assess scientific knowledge and apply it in various organizational contexts, making them competitive in the job market.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
