Master of Arts (MA)
The Arqus Joint Master's Programme in European Studies explores the intersection of Europeanization and globalization, challenging students to understand Europe's role as a global actor. The program includes a mandatory semester abroad and allows for specialization in key areas at partner universities. Topics of focus include Southeastern Europe, climate change, migration, and human rights.
Students will engage with diverse themes related to the impacts of Europeanization on global affairs, focusing on areas such as migration and cultural policies. The curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking through real-world case studies and collaborative initiatives.
The program is organized into four semesters, featuring core modules, elective courses, and an integrated mobility semester. Students are expected to complete a master's thesis during their final semester, applying their research skills to relevant topics in European studies.
Graduates will acquire a comprehensive understanding of Europe's influence in global affairs and develop critical analytical skills, preparing them for careers in research, public administration, and international organizations.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
