Master of Science (MSc)
The Master's Programme in Electrical Power Engineering and Sustainable Energy Systems provides a high-quality education in scientific and methodological aspects, preparing graduates for either further qualifications such as Doctoral Programmes or employment in industry. It develops competencies in project planning, technological applications for renewable energy, and energy efficiency, leading to careers in diverse fields such as consultancy and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
Students explore advanced topics in electrical power engineering, sustainable energy solutions, and modern energy systems. The program covers theoretical foundations as well as practical applications, focusing on innovation in renewable energy and smart grid technology.
The program is organized over four semesters, where students are guided through a recommended sequence of courses integrating theoretical learning with hands-on laboratory experiences. Research opportunities and industry projects are integral parts of the curriculum.
Graduates gain expertise in electrical power systems, project management, and sustainable energy practices, equipping them with the skills needed for complex problem-solving and systematic thinking in multidisciplinary environments.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
