The Media and Human-Centered Computing master’s program combines computer science with elements of design and psychology. Students focus on creating user-centered technologies that address complex societal challenges, preparing them for impactful careers.
The Master's program in Media and Human-Centered Computing focuses on human-computer interaction, design challenges, and creating socially impactful technologies. Students engage with fields such as virtual and augmented reality, human-centered AI, and inclusive design, all with a strong interdisciplinary foundation drawing from computer science, media theory, psychology, and design.
This four-semester program includes foundational courses in the first semester, followed by advanced design and implementation courses in the second and third semesters. The final semester is dedicated to developing and writing the master’s thesis, supported by project-based learning and practical workshops.
Graduates develop competencies in UX design, digital ethics, and multimodal interaction, preparing them for careers that require an understanding of designing technologies with users in mind. They gain skills to conduct usability research and develop thoughtful digital solutions.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
