Embedded Computing Systems power everything in today’s interconnected world. This master’s program equips students with theoretical and practical engineering skills to design advanced circuits and build tomorrow’s embedded and cyber-physical systems. Students learn to understand the interaction between hardware and software and their connection to the physical world.
The Embedded Computing Systems program covers essential topics in circuit design, embedded systems, and cyber-physical systems, exploring both analog and digital components. It emphasizes the interaction between hardware, software, and the physical world, preparing students for contemporary technological challenges.
The program is structured over four semesters, starting with fundamental courses in discrete mathematics and advanced computer architecture, followed by in-depth study in selected core and extension areas. The final semester is dedicated to the master's thesis, developed in a research lab setting.
Graduates will acquire comprehensive skills in designing advanced circuits, understanding complex systems, and applying integrative problem-solving methods. They will also gain expertise in trustworthy system development, validation, and verification.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
