This program prepares students to teach Computer Science and Digital Education, focusing on the integration of technology in education. The curriculum merges educational theory with practical skills in computing, enabling graduates to inspire future generations in a digital world.
In the Computer Science and Digital Education program at TU Graz, students study topics related to information and communication technologies, including foundational principles of computer science, mathematics, logic, and hardware. They also explore pedagogical methods for teaching these subjects effectively, focusing on creating engaging learning experiences for students.
The program is structured as an 8-semester Bachelor's degree followed by a 4-semester Master's degree, with an upcoming transition to a 6-semester Bachelor program starting from winter semester 2026/27. Students participate in practical placements and develop a thesis as part of their studies.
Graduates gain in-depth knowledge of computer science and its applications, along with pedagogical skills necessary for teaching the subject. They develop the ability to reflect on the societal impacts of technology and create tailored educational experiences for diverse learners.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
