Master of Arts (MA) in Performance
The MA in Performance for flute is designed for students looking to advance their technical and musical skills to a professional level. Students are exposed to a vast repertoire that spans various genres and historical periods, honing both their interpretive and performance abilities. The curriculum emphasizes competence-oriented learning to prepare graduates for careers as soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral players, and freelance artists.
Students will study advanced flute techniques, repertoire, chamber music, and orchestral studies. The program includes practical training aimed at developing artistic capabilities and theoretical knowledge related to performance.
The program is structured over four semesters, incorporating modular learning with a focus on individual progress and ensemble work. Students participate in individual lessons, group classes, and public performances, concluding with a master's thesis which may include a recital.
Graduates will possess advanced technical proficiency on their instrument, a deep understanding of musical styles, and the ability to engage critically with both artistic and academic aspects of performance. They will be equipped for diverse career opportunities in music.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
