The Master's programme in Lied offers singers and pianists an extensive catalogue of subjects that help them develop their unique interpretations of Lied repertoire. The emphasis is on understanding Lied as vocal chamber music, ultimately aiming to cultivate independent, mature artists who are sensitive and collaborative musicians.
Students study various aspects of vocal performance focusing on Lied and oratorio repertoire. They explore the stylistic differences in interpretation and work collaboratively with pianists.
The programme is modular, spanning four semesters with joint courses for singers and pianists. It includes one-on-one tuition and practical rehearsals, building towards a final thesis project.
Graduates will master their vocal skills and develop artistic maturity, alongside knowledge of academic research. They are equipped for professional performances as soloists and in ensembles.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
