Der Universitätslehrgang Blasorchesterleitung an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg vermittelt spezifisches Wissen und Fertigkeiten für die Arbeit mit Bläserensembles. Studieninhalte sind Dirigierunterricht, künstlerische Werkerarbeitung und praktische Erfahrungen in der Leitung von Blasorchestern. Studierende lernen grundlegende Theorien und Arrangements und reflektieren ihre Erfahrungen kritisch. Der Lehrgang schult auch die muskalische Führungsrolle und umfasst Hospitationen bei Instrumentalunterricht sowie Rhythmustraining.
Studierende setzen sich mit der Kunst des Dirigierens auseinander und vertiefen ihre Kenntnisse in Musiktheorie, Harmonielehre und Gehörbildung. Es wird großen Wert auf praktische Erfahrung mit Blasorchestern gelegt.
Der Lehrgang ist kompetenzorientiert, beinhaltet mehrere Semester mit theoretischen und praktischen Lehrinhalten, sowie regelmäßige Praktika bei Orchestern. Ein Abschlusskonzert zählt zu den relevanten Prüfungsleistungen.
Nach Abschluss erwerben die Graduierte umfangreiche Kenntnisse im Bereich der musikalischen Leitung, Dirigierpraxis und der Analyse von Blasorchesterwerken, sowie die Fähigkeit, theoretisches Wissen in der Praxis anzuwenden.
