The Bachelor program in Oboe focuses on the development of advanced skills and musicality, as well as the literature for the instrument. It includes training in breathing techniques, posture, finger techniques, sound production, vibrato, and articulation. The aim is to provide practical and scientifically-founded professional training for various fields such as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician.
The study covers practical and theoretical aspects of playing the oboe, including techniques and repertoire from various musical eras. Students engage with both solo and ensemble performances and explore music theory as it relates to their instrument.
The program is organized into eight modules over eight semesters, with foundational courses in the first semesters leading to more specialized training in advanced performance and ensemble work in later semesters. The curriculum is designed to allow students to acquire essential competencies progressively, culminating in a final thesis or performance assessment.
Upon completion, graduates will master the oboe and be able to perform competently in various musical settings. They will develop critical thinking skills regarding artistic expression and will be well-prepared for careers in music performance and education.
