The SUMA programme integrates advanced knowledge of materials with sustainable practices, training future leaders in materials engineering. It combines theoretical learning with practical applications to ensure graduates are well-prepared for responsible roles within the industry.
In the Master's program Sustainable Materials, students delve into materials science, focusing on developing sustainable materials, optimizing recycling processes, and exploring innovative production techniques. The curriculum integrates critical areas such as technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
The program spans four semesters and is structured around three main focus areas: Technical Excellence, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Practical Experience & Research, culminating in an industry placement and a Master's thesis. Students will study at two leading European universities during this period.
Graduates will acquire expertise in high-performance material development and recycling processes, equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset to transform innovative ideas into marketable solutions. They will also gain practical experience through real-world industrial challenges.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
