PhD in Translational Immunology and Metabolism in Oncology
TIMO is the first translational cancer-specific training program at the Medical University of Graz, focusing on cancer cell metabolism and anti-tumor immunity. It offers co-supervision by clinicians and basic researchers to ensure a rich educational experience. Students will engage in cutting-edge cancer research aimed at developing novel therapies and biomarkers.
In the Translational Immunology and Metabolism in Oncology (TIMO) program, students engage with topics focused on cancer cell metabolism and anti-tumor immunity. The program emphasizes the integration of clinical and preclinical insights to push the boundaries of cancer research.
The PhD program is structured over four years, with students co-supervised by clinicians and basic researchers. It includes a cancer-centered curriculum, internships, and opportunities for research abroad, ensuring a comprehensive training experience.
Graduates will develop critical research competencies in both clinical and laboratory settings, equipping them with the skills necessary for advanced cancer research and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
