Das Masterstudium Psychotherapie an der Med Uni Graz und Uni Graz bietet eine praxisorientierte und umfassende Ausbildung. Es bereitet die Studierenden auf die eigenständige, wissenschaftlich fundierte und handlungskompetente psychotherapeutische Tätigkeit vor. Studierende erwerben Kenntnisse in verschiedenen psychotherapeutischen Methoden und lernen, diese effektiv anzuwenden. Zudem werden sie darauf vorbereitet, in klinischen und therapeutischen Settings zu arbeiten, um Menschen in psychischen Krisen zu unterstützen.
The program covers a range of topics including therapeutic methodologies, ethical considerations, and the socio-cultural contexts of psychotherapy. Students will gain a solid foundation in both practical counseling techniques and theoretical frameworks in psychology.
The curriculum is structured across four semesters with a strong emphasis on practical training. Students engage in supervised practice, complete a thesis project, and undertake a series of internships in various therapeutic settings.
Graduates will acquire essential competencies in psychotherapy, including a deep understanding of human behavior, therapeutic techniques, ethical practice, and an ability to conduct independent research in the field. They will be well-prepared for clinical roles as well as further academic pursuits.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
