Extension programs at Med Uni Graz enable students to extend their core competencies in various fields such as General Practice and Digitalization in Medicine, focusing on professional development and practical skills.
The General Practice extension program focuses on preparing students for the evolving challenges in the healthcare sector, with an emphasis on long-term patient care, biopsychosocial understanding, and the significance of familial and regional contexts. Topics include modern and traditional practices in general medicine, enabling students to reflect on and enhance their approaches.
The program is structured over two semesters, culminating in an extension degree worth 32 ECTS credits. It combines both theoretical and practical components, ensuring that students engage with real-world scenarios and develop their clinical skills effectively.
Graduates will acquire competencies in patient-centered care, an understanding of healthcare systems, and the ability to apply biopsychosocial principles to make informed medical decisions. They will also gain skills in reflective practice to improve their approach to healthcare delivery.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
