The Bachelor program TEXTIL/KUNST&DESIGN sits at the intersection of fine art and applied design. It involves exploring the textile phenomenon in both art and everyday culture throughout history and contemporary contexts, including textile artifacts, textile in space, stage and performance, as well as fashion and textile design. Textile is understood as a medium for communication and identity construction.
Students study topics such as textile art, fashion design, and stage presence. The focus is on both theoretical understanding and practical application of textile technologies in art and design.
The program is organized into 6 semesters, with a mix of project-based learning and practical exercises. Students will experience internships to apply learned skills in real-world settings.
Graduates develop competencies in creative problem-solving and artistic expression within the field of textiles. They gain foundational knowledge in material and processing techniques essential for both artistic and industrial applications.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
