Bachelor of Arts (BA)
The Bachelor program in Industrial Design focuses on teaching the fundamentals of design, art and cultural studies. The curriculum is structured to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Throughout the program, students engage in project-based learning combined with internships, ultimately preparing them for diverse careers in the field of design.
Students study a variety of subjects related to design, art, and cultural studies, with a strong emphasis on practical project work. Critical thinking and creative skills are also nurtured throughout the program.
The program is organized into six semesters, where students progress through foundational courses leading to more complex project modules, culminating in a practical internship.
Graduates will have a solid foundation in design principles, practical experience and a portfolio showcasing their work, making them well-prepared for entry into the design industry.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
