Bachelor of Education (BEd)
The Teacher Education Programme in Music Education and Instrumental Music Education provides students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The focus is on personal artistic growth and developing pedagogical skills. Students learn to guide their future students in discovering individualized approaches to music, thereby fostering creativity and engagement in the classroom.
Students will study a variety of topics including music theory, pedagogy, and practical performance skills. The program enables them to explore diverse aspects of music education and develop their teaching capabilities.
The program is organized into phases across eight semesters, combining lectures, practical classes, and internships. A thesis component is included to integrate practical experience with academic study.
Graduates will gain competencies in music education methodologies, artistic expression, and the ability to work in educational settings. They will also develop skills necessary for assessment and curriculum development.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
