Master of Science (MSc)
The Master’s degree program in Statistics and Data Science is offered entirely in English and addresses key areas of statistics and data science. Students will learn to apply academic theory to tackle real-world issues with a strong focus on data literacy skills. Graduates will be equipped for a variety of careers in both industry and academia.
Students will focus on data acquisition, management, and analysis techniques, as well as the ethical implications of data usage. Topics such as Big Data, biostatistics, and statistical quality control are covered extensively.
The program spans over four semesters, culminating in a Master's thesis. Students engage in both theoretical study and practical projects, with opportunities for internships and applied research.
Graduates will gain competencies in statistical analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving within data-driven environments. They will also develop effective communication skills for presenting data insights.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
