The Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Leisure Management, offered by IMC Krems in partnership with Hanoi University, equips students with the essential skills needed to thrive in the dynamic tourism sector. The program is entirely taught in English and includes a mandatory internship of 22 weeks, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in their field. Graduates are prepared to take on leadership roles within tourism, hospitality, and event management industries.
The curriculum covers essential topics in business administration with a focus on tourism, including marketing, management, economics, and sustainability. Students develop skills in communication and intercultural awareness, preparing them for various roles in the global tourism sector.
The program is organized into six semesters, with the first two focusing on foundational business principles, followed by practical training and an abroad internship in semesters three and four. The final semesters emphasize advanced coursework and the completion of a Bachelor Thesis, consolidating knowledge gained throughout the program.
Graduates will possess a strong foundation in business management with a specific focus on tourism, enabling them to tackle industry challenges. They will develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for successful careers in a multicultural environment.

Third-country (non-EU/EEA) applicants generally need to have their prior qualifications legalised and translated for the admission application. Exact rules depend on the country that issued each document — always confirm with the university's admissions office.
Program-specific items — a CV, letter of motivation, an entrance exam (e.g. GMAT, GRE, SAT) or a portfolio — vary by degree. Check this program's requirements above and its official page.
The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences is known for English-taught business, life-science, and health programs, drawing one of the highest international-student shares in Austria.
