The Medizintechnik program focuses on modern technologies used in the design and manufacture of medical devices. Students engage with classical products such as CT scanners and pacemakers, as well as emerging fields like bionic prosthetics and artificial intelligence. The curriculum emphasizes practical skills that allow students to apply knowledge in real-world healthcare settings.
Students will cover a range of topics from medical technology fundamentals to innovative rehabilitation solutions. Emphasis is placed on both the technological and medical aspects of device development.
The program is organized into six semesters, culminating in a practical internship during the fifth semester. Students also engage in project work throughout the curriculum.
Graduates will gain extensive knowledge in medical technology, with competencies to design and implement medical devices. They will also develop social skills essential for teamwork in healthcare settings.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
